The CNIPA Signs Cooperation Agreements with Multiple National and Regional Intellectual Property Institutions

From September 11th to 13th, during the series of meetings for the 3rd “Belt and Road” High-Level Intellectual Property Conference, Shen Changyu, the director of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, successively held talks with the heads of intellectual property institutions from 10 countries and regions, including ambassador of Syria to China, and the director of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, and separately signed bilateral cooperation documents.

Shen Changyu expressed his gratitude to all parties for their active support and participation in the “Belt and Road” intellectual property cooperation. He pointed out that the cooperation between China and various parties has been long-standing and effective. Through the signing of new cooperation documents, he hopes to further deepen cooperation with all parties and promote the bilateral cooperation under the “Belt and Road” framework to a new level.

All parties highly praised China’s contribution to deepen the “Belt and Road” intellectual property cooperation. They hope to use this round of talks as an opportunity to further expand the content of cooperation and effectively promote more fruitful outcomes.

During the conference, Shen Changyu also separately met with the director of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, the assistant deputy minister for the Economy of the UAE, and the chairman of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Office, and exchanged in-depth views on issues of common concern. The parties present indicated that they would jointly promote the economic and social development of their countries through intellectual property cooperation.
